Job Description

 Essential Duties & responsibilities include

  • Manage city dispatch operations, including coordinating deliveries and optimizing routes for efficiency
  • Respond to customer and internal inquiries via email in a timely and professional manner
  • Schedule and confirm pick-up times with clients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Handle freight documentation, including preparing bills of lading and customs paperwork
  • Track freight movements and update relevant stakeholders on shipment status
  • Monitor and maintain maintenance schedules for trucks, trailers, and forklifts to ensure operational readiness
  • Coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Manage inventory levels and assist with stock reconciliation
  • Generate and analyze reports on supply chain performance metrics
  • Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements in the supply chain workflow
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve any supply chain-related issues
  • Maintain accurate records of all supply chain activities and transactions
  • Assist in vendor management and procurement processes when needed
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss operational challenges and solutions
  • Ability to shunt trailers an asset

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in supply chain, logistics, or related field is an asset.
  • Forklift certification is an asset
  • AZ/Shunting experience an asset
  • AS400 experience is an asset
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Google-based documents
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
  • Must be bilingual English and French
