UNRL are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Demand Planner/Buyer who will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, optimizing demand planning processes, and enhancing systems to improve operation efficiency.  This role collaborates with cross functional teams to align supply chain strategies with objectives, ensuring effective inventory management and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities: 


Demand Planning Functions: 

  • Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and input from Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Finance teams.
  • Analyze variances between forecasts and actual sales, adjusting models and processes accordingly.
  • Analyze sales trends, market data, and customer behavior to create accurate demand forecasts.
  • Manage purchase orders and replenishment processes to ensure timely availability of goods.
  • Track and report KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, and inventory turnover.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory in ERP systems.

Process Optimization:

  • Identify inefficiencies in existing Zoho platform, implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations to optimize ERP/MRP or APS systems for better data integrity and usability.
  • Support system implementations or upgrades related to planning, forecasting, and reporting tools.
  • Automate recurring reporting and analysis to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for forecast inaccuracies and implement corrective actions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with Supply Planning, Development, Finance, and Sales teams to align forecast assumptions and ensure supply chain readiness.
  • Serve as a liaison between business units and technical teams to ensure smooth process integration and data flow.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
  • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key stakeholders.





Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain analytics, or operations planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Python).
  • Experience with forecasting tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Kinaxis, or similar).
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes and implement system optimizations.
  • Knowledge and experience in supply chain methodologies and lean manufacturing a plus.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.

The starting salary for this full-time position is between $65,000 and $75,000, based on qualifications. However, there is a broader salary range that allows for future growth and advancement. Salary levels are determined by factors such as the role, experience level, and job location. Within the established range, compensation is influenced by skills, competencies, relevant experience, education, training, and market demand.
