As a Transportation Planner, you’ll play a critical role in coordinating the movement of goods from our facilities to customers, ensuring timely, cost-effective, and high-quality service. You will collaborate across teams and with external partners to optimize transportation strategies and resolve issues in real time.

How you will make contributions that matter...

Transportation Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute transportation for truckload and LTL shipments from assigned shipping locations, ensuring on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement consolidation opportunities to create efficient multi-stop truckloads.
  • Coordinate carrier pickups for purchased goods and interplant transfers to Saputo Distribution Centers.

Customer & Carrier Relationship Management

  • Deliver exceptional service to both internal and external customers by managing transportation with precision and care.
  • Build strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders to support process improvements and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, plant, DC teams, and carriers to proactively resolve service issues.

Performance Improvement & Issue Resolution

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing carrier performance gaps.
  • Manage in-transit issues such as rerouting, delays, and OS&D (overages, shortages, and damages).
  • Support investigations into OS&D incidents and work with carriers to determine product disposition.

You Are Best Suited For The Role If You Have The Following Experience, Skills, and qualifications..

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in transportation operations; CPG industry experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and SAP; experience with either is preferred.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Salary Range: $60,135 to $78,930

Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, educations, skills and training

The position follows a hybrid work schedule, with three days onsite and two days remote, based out of our Wauwatosa, WI office.
