Job Overview:

The Supply Chain Analyst will support the efficient flow of materials and information across the manufacturing supply chain. This role involves coordinating demand forecasts with project timelines, aligning purchasing with operations and engineering, and analyzing supplier performance to ensure material availability. The analyst will work to minimize shortages, reduce last-minute expediting, and provide data-driven insights using tools such as NetSuite and Power BI to keep projects on track and production running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze supplier lead times, identify critical-path procurements, and track material flow to reduce shortages and last-minute expediting.
  • Provide supply chain coordination and analysis to program/project teams throughout the lifecycle of customer orders.
  • Leverage MRP/ERP tools such as NetSuite to monitor material positions, align forecasts, and translate demand into purchase requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain forecasting, supply chain dashboards, and reporting using platforms such as Power BI and Excel.
  • Coordinate accurate demand forecasts tied to project timelines, customer orders, and sales projections.
  • Align purchasing activities with operations and engineering, ensuring material availability for production schedules and design changes.
  • Participate in make/buy decisions, capacity/resource coordination, and product lifecycle activities (phase-in/phase-out, ramp-up, and end-of-life).
  • Define and support material strategies that balance cost, risk, and availability.
  • Coordinate inventory levels based on BOM requirements, adjusting supply needs based on usage, availability, and forecast updates.
  • Monitor supplier performance, capacity, and production issues; track key supplier KPIs and escalate risks as needed.
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and procurement to support product introductions, design changes, and project delivery milestones.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain processes, data accuracy, and ERP system enhancements.
  • Demonstrate strong decision-making, interpersonal skills, and agility in addressing supply chain challenges.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, or forecasting (manufacturing environment preferred).
  • Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Solid communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across operations, engineering, and procurement.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities and adapt forecasts to changing project demands.

Preferred:

  • Experience in electrical, electronics, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP and Power BI reporting.
  • Knowledge of demand planning and forecasting methodologies.
  • APICS/CPIM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move through a manufacturing environment (e.g., visiting warehouse, production floor, or testing areas).
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move items/materials up to 20–25 lbs.
  • Good vision and hearing to read documents, use a computer, and communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
  • Ability to climb stairs or access elevated areas if offices and production areas are on multiple levels.
  • Comfort with occasional use of personal protective equipment (PPE) (safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, hearing protection, hard hats) when on the shop floor or warehouse.
