Supply Chain Analyst

Hybrid (3Xweek) •Coppell, TX• Local only (≤50 miles). No relocation.

 

Job Summary

The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for driving and executing supply chain operational plans and strategies through relationship building, data collection, and report creation and analysis in a fast paced operational setting. They will be involved in the development and execution of supply chain initiatives, including flow planning, KPI management, score carding, and supply chain processes evolution, thus ensuring meeting the demands of the business. They will work very closely with the supply chain team in collection of data, development of tools and reports that analyze performance, make recommendations, and implement processes with a continuous improvement mindset. They will also be responsible to monitor usage of data, determines relevancy, and create documentation that supports decision-making.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Manage operational exceptions alongside carriers and brokers and communicate with internal stakeholders

  • Manage tools to monitor and collect data on current operations across all of supply chain including scheduling, sourcing, warehousing, storage and delivery

  • Gather data on each step within the supply chain, using it to assist leaders in recommending changes to manage costs or drive efficiency

  • Analyze P&L impacts of strategic projects, track cost savings and avoidance, and present findings to leadership

  • Analyze data, make recommendations, and create action to improve efficiency of supply chain

  • Manage existing and create new performance tools to create a competitive network of carriers

  • Interpret KPIs to determine success factors and execution certainty of business processes over time

  • Seek to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes, make recommendations, and implement change

  • Assist with planning and implementation of supply chain optimization projects

  • Aggregate and analyze data from multiple sources to develop tools to support supply chain initiatives

  • Work with Business Intelligence team to automate data analytic models for regular reporting

  • Provide research & analysis support for competitive insights and macro-economic factors with a continuous improvement mindset

Qualifications and Competencies
  • Self starter with strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills

  • 1-3 years experience in a Supply Chain operations role

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, finance, business, computer science or related field

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred

  • Experience working in and maintaining databases and other platforms relevant to company process

  • Experience with data modeling, mining, mapping and monitoring

  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills

  • Working knowledge of building forecasting tools and ability to develop actionable insights from data

  • Strong collaboration and verbal communication skills to work with both internal and external partners

  • Relentless attention to detail

  • Experience analyzing and improving supply chain data, information, and processes
