The Sr.Supply Chain Analyst role reports into the Senior Inventory Manager. The incumbent is a key stakeholder in the Relex replenishment system and in the replenishment activities across Pet Supermarket Supply Chain business areas. This role will maintain assigned categories to optimize inventory levels in stores and warehouses, incorporating business intelligence gathered from category management and marketing along with industry insights.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Identify the root causes of issues such as out-of-stocks and aged inventory through the collection and analysis of data and provide recommended solutions.
Investigate inventory exceptions and provide solutions.
To utilize Demand Planning systems, adhering to the concepts underpinning the Allocation and Replenishment Strategy.
Translate Merchandise Financial, Promotional, Seasonal and New Store Strategies into Vendor Allocation and Replenishment Strategies.
Manage and analyze inventory ordering requirements from vendors to distribution centers ensuring optimum inventory levels to achieve sales targets.
Leverage advanced tools and analysis to determine optimal inventory to allocate/replenish to maintain optimal sales levels.
Set and modify business rules for order generation, days of supply, seasonal activities, safety stock and presentation rules.
Ensure appropriate service levels are maintained and managed at the distribution centers and stores.
Coordinate inventory/order strategies for warehouses.
Effectively document and communicate key assumptions related to replenishment order.
Generate regular reports on key metrics for both internal and external stakeholders.
Work with the warehouse and vendor to manage vendor returns
Arrange inbound freight orders.
Maintain seamless product flow by ensuring accuracy of order specifications. Pricing discrepancies must be elevated to Senior Inventory Manager & DMM in a timely manner.
Track Purchase Order Progress and follow up with vendors on shipping
Experience, Education, Certifications
Post-secondary education in business, supply chain or a related field. Relevant work experience will be considered.
Minimum 3-5 years of progressive experience in supply chain with a focus on Inventory Replenishment.
Basic knowledge of Merchandise Financial Planning process inputs and outputs
Understanding of the conceptual balance between service level and inventory reduction.
Strong Time and Task Management organizational skills.
Replenishment, Allocation, and order management experience is .
Experience in the retail industry is , Pet Food, Supplies and Accessories experience is ideal.
Experience collaborating across an organization with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Marketing, Store Operations, Finance, and IT is considered an asset.
Strong experience in MS Office, Word and PowerPoint with advanced knowledge in Excel including pivot tables, v-lookups, advanced formulas and ideally able to create macros.
Relex Replenishment Systems a plus
