Job Description

0-3 years experience providing production planning/scheduling, inventory management, or distribution support to maintain production operations and customer product availability. UnThis position is NonExempt. Hours over 40 will be paid at Time and a Half. 0-3 years experience providing production planning/scheduling, inventory management, or distribution support to maintain production operations and customer product availability. Under close supervision analyze planning requirements and initiate appropriate action to support master schedules or independent demands.
Primary Function/Goals/Objectives

• Performs general to complex duties in assigned area within the Biologics Production facility. Under limited supervision performs complex processes within systems and monitors processes in Cell Culture, Purification, Core Support, Logistics and/or Planning.
• Complies with safety requirements, current Good Manufacturing Practices, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Communicates all events/issues with appropriate individuals.
• Initiates or implements changes of both physical and written procedures.
• Proficient in core work processes and becomes more knowledgeable on work down/up –stream processes to identify improvements.

Major Responsibilities

• Coordinates the purchase, receipt, and issuance of Raw Materials and Commodities to Production.
• Performs and coordinates SAP master data.
• Performs and coordinates SAP MRP and Process Orders.
• Enters recipes into SAP. Is responsible for the review and guidance of recipes in the documentation life cycle.
• Assists in planning and supply plans.

Qualifications

Qualifications include a BA/BBA/BS degree plus 1-2 yrs operations/distribution experience or directly relevant technical experience that demonstrates knowledge typical of a college graduate.

 

• Must have basic technical knowledge with manufacturing experience in a chemical pharmaceutical or similar environment.
• Must have basic knowledge of materials resource planning.
• Knowledge of Microsoft and other software packages, SAP, LIMS, systems are preferred. Experience with cGMP documentation and record maintenance is preferred.
• Strong problem solving and prioritization skills are required.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
