Position: Maintenance and Operations Coordinator


Reporting to: PRM and VP Operations


Employment Type: Permanent Full Time


Work Environment:
The position involves extended hours in front of the computer and sitting; includes work outside and exposure to heat, cold, wind and precipitation; lifting of materials up to 30 pounds.


Responsibilities:


The Maintenance Coordinator is available to carry out tasks delegated by the PRM or Maintenance Supervisor which may include, but is not limited to:


 -scheduling of maintenance, elementary work and servicing according to the approved maintenance schedules and company requirements;
-producing purchase orders for required aircraft maintenance;
-updating maintenance records;
-assisting with the production or amendment of reports and publications
-ensuring that work conducted by the organization’s contractors, personnel training, aircraft dispatch and control of defects are in accordance with the company’s Maintenance Control Manual.
-assistance to ensure that airworthiness directives (ADs) are complied with and conformance of aircraft with their type design;
-assistance with company training including elementary work and servicing on Company aircraft;
-monitoring of aircraft inspections, repair, overhaul, alteration, defect rectification and certification of work;
-removing aircraft from operation because of non-compliance with the requirements of the Canadian Aviation Regulations or because of a risk to the safety of the aircraft, persons or property;
-in consultation with either the PRM, Maintenance Supervisor or an AME employed by one of Montair’s contracted AMOs, signing aircraft into the tolerances permitted by the relevant aircraft maintenance schedules;
-in consultation with either the PRM, Maintenance Supervisor or an AME employed by one of Montair’s contracted AMOs, determining when a defect is deferrable and deferring the defect as detailed in section 5.6.8 of the Maintenance Control Manual; and

-any other related duties as required and assigned. Following additional training this may include being granted Stores Authority.


Maintenance Coordinators may be initially appointed with a more limited task role while under probation/initial training until full authority is granted by the PRM.


A Maintenance Coordinator may also be assigned tasks and responsibilities as an Operations Coordinator in areas such as:
1. Company dispatch
2. Driving
3. Ramp operations
4. Facility maintenance and organization, including WHS building inspections and vendor liaison.


Qualification, Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

Must complete Maintenance Coordinator training as per company policy.
