Responsibilities
- Foster a positive and communicative environment
- Manage and maintain adequate department personnel
- Coordinate purchasing to maintain stock for the warehouse as well as the dealer group
- Collaborate with the Parts Management and Outside sales team to develop an inventory that satisfies market needs
- Collaborate with Outside Sales team to develop monthly specials
- Manage interbranch logistics, ensuring all branches receive inventory in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Maintains a safe working environment and is compliant with Work Safe BC Policies
- Schedule shifts to provide a high level of high level of service to the branches
- Hold monthly meetings with warehouse personnel to keep employees up to date with all bulletins, programs and department changes
- Ensure that all department staff receive and participate in training as required and maintain department records for each employee
- Monitor the technical support materials available for the department and adjust as required. ie. Parts manuals, ECAT etc.
- Monitor market trends and adjust pricing as required to stay competitive
- Maintain a broad and efficient inventory, with a focus on maintaining availability
- Facilitate proper training of employees and ensures training is up-to-date
- Other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications
- 5 years or more managerial experience in parts retail or warehouse management
- Completion of post-secondary certificate, diploma, degree is an asset
- Strong mathematical and financial analysis skills
- Strong understanding of the parts industry
- Thorough knowledge of customer service dynamics and processes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Focus on efficiency – looks to accomplish the most with available time and resources
- Ability to anticipate and deal with future problems and opportunities
- Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment
- Effective problem solving and negotiating skills
Compensation Rate
- $95,000 - $105,000 annually
