Your opportunity at Arc’teryx:
As a Raw Material Supply Planner (RMSP), you will play a key role in the supply planning of raw materials for the production of finished goods, by negotiating and planning supplier capacity, forecasting raw material production and managing supplier delivery performance.
You will work with a portfolio of overseas manufacturers and ensure that their production forecast best supports our finished good supplier base. You will collaborate internally with the Raw Materials Development and Sourcing teams, Quality, Finished Goods Supply Planning, Global Planning and Finished Goods Sourcing teams to achieve supply and delivery targets.
You will also support key projects and initiatives within the team and beyond, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the raw material commercialization and Sales & Operations Planning processes.
This is a temporary contract with an end date of August 28, 2026. This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Raw Materials Supply Planning is a highly dynamic and collaborative team of Raw Material Supply Planners who each individually manage a portfolio of overseas manufacturers (organized by raw material category/commodity) and report to a Manager of Raw Materials Supply Planning.
The team collaborates closely on departmental deadlines and process-improvement projects and aligns their portfolio work to present as a cohesive team in planning, monitoring production and resolving supply issues.
Each Raw Material Supply Planner maintains excellent knowledge of the unique manufacturing constraints of their portfolio and acts as a subject-matter expert in their categories to cross-functional teams and to management. If you were in the Raw Material Supply Planner role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Managing relationships with manufacturers with a sense of urgency in a professional and courteous manner. Ensure optimal supplier performance (growth, on-time delivery, communication, and flexibility) with a focus on long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Understanding the raw material development process to determine if commercialization timelines can be met.
- Working with the Raw Material Sourcing team to negotiate, set and ensure compliance with purchasing terms and pricing conditions based on forecast volume & market changes.
- Managing a rolling raw material forecast schedule and any exceptional cross-functional decisions and/or commitments related to supplier MOQ, MCQ and Lead Times.
- Working with Hong Kong Office to monitor work in progress production at manufacturers to ensure on-time delivery and steady supply with minimal shortages and excesses.
- Tracking and reporting pm Supplier Delivery Performance, and Supplier Lead Time Performance. Analyze the root cause of issues and recommend improvements.
- Accounting for excess raw materials at season-end, providing accurate financial projections and settling invoices with due diligence.
- Engaging in the monthly Sales & Operations Planning process to report portfolio key performance indicators and to communicate supply opportunities or risks.
- Conducting seasonal manufacturer performance reviews, providing feedback to Sourcing teams for improvement.
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
- Completing all core RMSP deliverables for our internal process calendar on time and in full for your portfolio, including securing seasonal raw material supplier quotes, maintaining or reducing RM lead times, and achieving 95% On-Time-In-Full (OTIF) booking for long lead time raw materials.
- Establishing and maintaining Tier 2 supplier capacity utilization at or below 90% across all suppliers in your portfolio.
- Ensuring raw material (RM) commitments are accurately created and maintained in the Centric system in alignment with SOPs and the internal RMSP update schedule.
- Managing relationships with Tier 2 suppliers, including addressing lack of responsiveness and making strategic decisions to divest when necessary.
- Providing effective and efficient administrative support for RMSP processes.
- Proactively resolve issues that may impact Tier 2 on-time performance.
- Maintaining a clear understanding of finished goods (FG) scope within your Tier 2 supplier portfolio.
Are you our next Raw Material Supply Planner?
- You have 2+ years’ experience in Supply Planning, Purchasing or an equivalent Supply Chain position, preferably in the apparel or consumer goods industry.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain and/or APICS certification.
- You have knowledge of sourcing practices, vendor management, supply chain management, inventory management, global distribution network planning and project management practices.
- You are a proficient user of Excel and Power BI, also have ERP experience.
- You have excellent English written and spoken communication skills.
- You have advanced analytical skills, understanding possible operational/financial impacts.
- You have strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and exceptional multitasking skills.
- You have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a people-facing role.
- You are not deterred by ambiguity and frequent changes in the world of supply chain.
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions.

$70,000 - $88,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$70,000 - CAD$88,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
