The Town of Paradise, one of the fastest growing Municipalities in Newfoundland and Labrador with the potential for significant growth in residential and commercial/industrial development, is seeking a Procurement Specialist.
Reporting to the Manager, Purchasing and Risk Management, this position administers the Town's procurement process, by acting as a liaison between departments and bidders/contractors and ensuring open and fair competitive bidding that is compliant with applicable legislation, regulations, policies and procedures. This consists of the preparation of documents, writing and recommending specific language, terms and conditions, corresponding with bidders, compiling and reviewing bid information, notifying successful and unsuccessful bidders and the preparation of contracts. This position will monitor procurement activities for compliance, assist with the creation and maintenance of required documentation, and proactively identify potential issues and resolutions within the procurement process. This position will also assist in providing ongoing development, support and training to Town staff with respect to procurement processes, policy and legislation.
Qualifications
An equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.
The annual salary scale for this position is $74,826.70 - $93,533.37 with an exceptional benefits package.
