Job Summary
The Procurement Specialist will be an integral part of the Procurement Team, primarily managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.. The role will also be responsible for will also be responsible for minimizing risk through ensuring diversity of supply and working cross-functionally to keep all parties informed with regard to raw material supply.

Essential Duties

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies that are aligned with GAF's business objectives. (20-25%)
• Assess suppliers and potential suppliers. Oversee tracking of supplier metrics and communicate performance. Manage vendor relationships and build effective partnerships. (20-25%)
• Negotiate contracts for both commercial and legal terms. (15-20%)
• Manage contractual commitments and supplier assessments, ensuring all purchases or services are consistent with quality and delivery requirements. (10-15%)
• Coordinate with internal customers to implement the supply of product or service, including recommended supplier changes. (10-15%)
• Ad-hoc. (5-10%)

Under This Roof We Require

• Bachelor’s Degree STEM or business field
  Required
• 2+ years of experience in a business role with a solid understanding of standard procurement and supply chain concepts, practices, and procedures, including strong negotiation skills and contract experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Strategic and systems thinking
• Excellent communication and computer skills including proficiency with Google Sheets/Excel
• This position is based in our Parsippany, NJ corporate headquarters which currently operates on a hybrid in-office schedule. Though employees are welcome to work in our office on Friday, this position must be performed in-office on Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely from the employee's home office on Friday.

General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience with procurement, chemical, or roofing operations
• Experience with data modeling and advanced knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel
• Technical experience within roofing plant
• Knowledge of Google Suites
• Experience in the use of ERP systems (Oracle/PeopleSoft, SAP, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with financial management and analysis

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Salary Range: $72,000-$99,000
