Our growth means we’re hiring more people to meet the needs of our ever-evolving customer base. That’s why we’re looking for a motivated team leader with start-up experience to join us as Operations Manager. In this role, you’ll be important in maintaining the level of quality our customers expect.
The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that our printing and production processes (DTG, Embroidery, non-apparel) run reliably and efficiently in order to meet the needs of our customers.
Responsibilities:
Manage operations - people, workflow and output - to meet production KPI’s on speed, quality, unit cost and morale.
Lead a team of up to 50 printing production employees, support teams and leads.
Develop front-line supervisors and leads to manage smaller teams.
Responsible for ensuring the facility provides a proper and safe work environment for the employees and equipment.
Understand, set and communicate production goals, reading monitors daily and adjusting resources as needed, then providing analytics on production.
Draft work schedules, assignments, activities and overtime to meet daily and weekly production goals.
Manage a consistent flow of production by ensuring that late, stuck, damaged and priority items are processed and expedited.
Look for inefficiencies in the production flow and implement improvements and continuous learning practices.
Ensure efficient training to mitigate the impact of staff & equipment challenges.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure a fully stocked inventory at all times and manage the incoming inventory inspection process.
Work with the maintenance team to ensure proper equipment maintenance and timely repairs.
Maintain production Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and visual aids for department processes.

Preferred Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, manufacturing, or another relevant field
5+ years of experience in production operations
Experience managing a production facility team or similar experience
Experience managing the production process in a fast-growing company
Experience with Lean/Six Sigma quality systems is an asset.
Understanding of shipping, purchasing, and inventory management
