The Role:
We are currently recruiting for a detail oriented, process and quality focused team player who is self-motivated and goal driven to fill the position of Manager, Operations based out of our Oliver, BC production facility.
The Oliver production facility is a full-service operation from harvest through to final distribution; operating year-round and producing some of the industry’s most awarded wines. Our organization emphasizes a collaborative working environment, offering the systems and structure to support our continued growth and employment opportunities.
As Manager, Operations you will be responsible for leading the production department to achieve the corporate objectives in the areas of health and safety, quality, customer service, cost, people development, productivity and environmental responsibility in a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing case output, productivity, overtime spending, schedule attainment, efficiency, customer service levels, waste and KPI reporting at the site
Responsible for managing department spend to budget and ensures targets are achieved through efficient production execution.
Manages quality programs to achieve quality objectives and compliance.
Accountable for packaged right the first-time measures within targeted objectives.
Manages all Health and Safety objectives and government mandated compliance within the production department.
Manages and directs hourly and salary employees in the production department, including performance management, employee relations, employee training and development.
Ensures depth of employee skill set across all production functions and succession plans are in place for all key roles.
Supports a culture of accountability, change and continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
University Degree, Technical Diploma or Equivalent (Operations Administration, Engineering or Science)
5+ years previous experience managing a facility with similar capacity
Experience in consumer goods environment an asset
Continuous improvement and change management experience an asset
Strong understanding and ability to use technology (experience with JDE or SAP)
Experience managing end to end supply chain and manufacturing facility an asset
Capable of working with and through all functional areas of a business
Basic understanding of managing through metrics
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Compensation: Budgeted Range – $101,355.00 – $131,165.00
The budgeted range considers several factors and qualifications that are considered in making compensation decisions including experience, education, training, licenses, certifications, and other business and organizational requirements. Base pay is only one component of the total rewards offering at Arterra.
