Job Summary:
We are seeking a Logistics III professional (preferred Pacific time zone) to join our Local Bounti remote team. The Logistics Analyst III plays a key role in supporting Local Bounti’s supply chain strategy by analyzing, developing, and implementing logistics solutions to optimize transportation, distribution, and inventory operations. This role will partner cross-functionally to ensure product moves efficiently from facilities to customers while maintaining cost-effectiveness, quality, and compliance. As a senior-level analyst, the Logistics Analyst III also provides mentorship to junior analysts and supports strategic initiatives to scale operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Analyze transportation and distribution data to identify trends, cost drovers, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Develop and maintain logistics performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to drive decision-making.
- Support the design and implementation of network optimization strategies, including carrier selection, routing, and freight consolidation.
- Lead root-cause analyses of logistics issues and recommend correction action plans.
- Support Contract negotiations with carriers, 3PLs, and other logistics partners.
- Monitor compliance with DOT, OSHA, and other relevant transportation and safety regulations.
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects focused on continuous improvement, cost savings, and scalability.
- Any other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, logistics, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or Transporation roles, with increasing responsibility.
- Experience with Transporation Managment Systems (TMS), Warehouse Managment Systems (WMS) and ERP systems required.
- Advanced Excel and data visualization skills (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Strong background in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
- Knowledge of freight modes (LTL, TL, intermodal) and cold chain logistics preferred.
- The ideal candidate must be available to work Pacific Time Zone hours and possess a strong understanding of logistics solutions specific to the West Coast.
